Two constant thoughts moved us to create the Errante brand: we didn't
want to draw anything that we wouldn't have liked ourself in our houses.
We also wanted to make a deal with time, giving it a collection that could age
well. Once set this, we’ve started having fun, coming up with ideas that could
always balance between aesthetic and functionality. Especially
we’ve tried to add an irony touch that design should always maintain when it
comes to deal with us as humans. If even shallowness starts taking itself too
seriously, it’s really over, isn’t it? Instead, we’ve decided to focus our
professionalism, the real one, to the sourcing of the finest materials and the
attention to details - all details! Even the invisible ones that hold our items
together, being certain to use the word “quality“ without any uncertainty. And
with a certain pride too. When it comes to pride: yes - it must be said -
we are an Italian brand. Much of our knowledge and experience, built
throughout our careers - Gabriele as an artist, Ivan as an architect,
inevitably and intentionally ended up in the Errante collection.
Most of all, in the style: the geometrical dryness, the formal scrupulousness,
the tireless pursuit for synthesis are important marks of
Italianness that you’ll find in all our collection. Even
lightheartedness is an Italian distinguishing feature that Errante has chosen
to embody. To do that we’ve used colour (we’ve played with the colour) an
essential element of design. Each and every piece has its own mood, its
sharp personality, its own way of joking around and getting along with
different styles. Somehow, negotiating with the time about the
term “contemporary”, we’ve tried to create some classical pieces, without
being too conventional. The rest of the job has been left to the light,
that will have the duty of enhance surfaces and volumes, while
you’ll have fun using them, watching them, spending time with them and, why
not, maybe even calling them by name.
